아버지. 영원한 생명이란 홀로 참하느님이신 아버지를 알고 아버지께서 보내신 예수 그리스도를 아는 것입니다 (요한 17.3). Father. This is eternal life, that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.
하느님께서는 모든 사람이 구원을 받고 진리를 깨닫게 되기를 원하십니다 (1티모 2.4). God our Saviour desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
사실 사람들에게 주어진 이름 가운데에서 우리가 구원받는 데에 필요한 이름은 하늘아래 이이름밖에 없습니다 (사도 4.12). There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved than the name of Jesus. 그분 말고는 다른 누구에게도 구원이 없습니다.

인간의 삶 - 하느님을 알고 사랑함 The life of man - to know and love God
__# 001. 스스로 한없이 완전하고 복되신 하느님께서는 순수한 호의로 계획을 세우시고, 자유로이 인간을 창조하시어 당신의 복된 생명에 참여하도록 하셨다. 그러므로 하느님께서는 모든시대 모든장소에서 인간에게 다가오신다. 하느님께서는 인간을 부르시며, 있는 힘을 다하여 당신을 찾고 알며 사랑하도록 도와주신다. 하느님께서는 죄 때문에 흩어진 모든 사람을 당신 가족인 교회의 일치안에 불러 모으신다. 하느님께서는 때가 찼을때 이일을 이루시고자 당신의 아들을 구속자와 구원자로 보내주셨다. 그분 안에서 그분을 통해 하느님께서는 사람들을 불러 성령 안에서 당신의 자녀로 받아들이시고 당신 복된 삶의 상속자가 되게 하신다.
__# 001. God, infinitely perfect and blessed in himself, in a plan of sheer goodness freely created man to make him share in his own blessed life. For this reason, at every time and in every place, God draws close to man. He calls man to seek him, to know him, to love him with all his strength. He calls together all men, scattered and divided by sin, into the unity of his family, the Church. To accomplish this, when the fullness of time had come, God sent his Son as Redeemer and Saviour. In his Son and through him, he invites men to become, in the Holy Spirit, his adopted children and thus heirs of his blessed life.
__# 002. 이러한 부름이 온땅에 울려 퍼지도록 그리스도께서는 친히 선택하신 제자들에게 복음을 전할 사명을 주어 파견하셨다. 너희는 가서 모든 민족들을 제자로 삼아, 아버지와 아들과 성령의 이름으로 세례를 주고, 내가 너희에게 명령한 모든것을 가르쳐 지키게 하여라. 보라, 내가 세상끝날까지 언제나 너희와 함께 있겠다 (마태 28.19). 이러한 사명으로 힘을 얻은 사도들은 떠나가서 곳곳에 복음을 선포하였다. 주님께서는 그들과 함께 일하시면서 표징들이 뒤따르게 하시어, 그들이 전하는 말씀을 확증해 주셨다 (마르 16.20).
__# 002. So that this call should resound throughout the world, Christ sent forth the apostles he had chosen, commissioning them to proclaim the gospel: Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you; and look, I am with you always, to the close of the age. Strengthened by this mission, the apostles went forth and preached everywhere, while the Lord worked with them and confirmed the message by the signs that attended it.
__# 003. 하느님의 도움으로 그리스도의 부름을 받아들이고 자유로이 이에 응답한 사람들은 이어서 그리스도의 사랑에 자극을 받아 온세상에 기쁜 소식을 전하였다. 사도들의 후계자들은 사도들로부터 전해 받은 이 보화를 충실하게 지켰다. 그리스도를 믿는 모든 사람은 신앙을 전파하고, 형제적인 친교로 신앙을 실천하며, 전례와 기도를 통해 신앙을 기림으로써 이 보화를 세세대대로 전할 부름을 받는다.
__# 003. Those who with God's help have welcomed Christ's call and freely responded to it are urged on by love of Christ to proclaim the Good News everywhere in the world. This treasure, received from the apostles, has been faithfully guarded by their successors. All Christ's faithful are called to hand it on from generation to generation, by professing the faith, by living it in fraternal sharing, and by celebrating it in liturgy and prayer.
